Editorial & Medical Review Policy

Everything we publish is written to be useful before it is persuasive. This page explains who writes our content, who checks it, how often it is re-checked, and what we do when we get something wrong.

Evidence first

Every article is built from independent public-health guidance and peer-reviewed research. We cite the source rather than paraphrase it, and links open directly to the original publication.

Reviewed by a clinician

Content is checked by Prof MM Althaf, MD, FRCP(UK), FASN, MSc. before publication. The reviewer checks accuracy, safety information and the way risks are described.

Claims kept within EU law

We only present a health benefit where an authorised claim exists for that nutrient at the level supplied. Where no authorised claim exists, we describe the ingredient and its traditional use plainly, without implying an effect.

Reviewed on a schedule

Articles carry the date they were last reviewed and are re-checked at least every 12 months, or sooner when guidance changes.

Commercial independence

Our editorial team writes independently of the commercial team. Products are mentioned where they are genuinely relevant to the topic, and a product mention never changes what the evidence section says.

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell us and we will correct it. Substantive corrections update the review date shown on the article.
